Fairview Elementary Description
Fairview Elementary School is a public school located in the beautiful mountain town of Sylva, NC. Founded in 1887, Fairview has been providing quality education to students for over 130 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of educational opportunities including music, art, physical education and technology classes.
The faculty at Fairview are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. They strive to provide engaging lessons that challenge students while also fostering collaboration among peers. In addition to traditional classroom instruction, teachers incorporate hands-on activities such as field trips and outdoor projects into their curriculum so that students can gain real world experience outside of the classroom walls.
At Fairview Elementary School we believe that every child should have access to a high quality education regardless of background or ability level. We offer several programs designed specifically for special needs children as well as those who may need additional support with academics or social skills development. Our goal is to ensure all our students receive the best possible education so they can be successful both inside and outside the classroom setting.
