Sean Mccartney

Father to two wonderful kids, Kristen (16) and Colin (10). They are Sean’s greatest achievement, and he loves watching them succeed! He has been in real estate for nearly 9 years and loves the ability it affords him to help people make their dreams come true and the flexibility in scheduling that it provides to let me spend time with his kids and not miss any milestone moments. Sean is the former VP of Fundraising and PTA President of his son's elementary school (4 years total) and a proud member of the Highlands Men which is the dad's group we have at Highland Creek Elementary that is associated with BeThereDad.org. Sean lost his other this past Thanksgiving to a three-year battle with cancer and miss her every day. He has a sister and brother-in-law in Portland, Oregon and his father lives in Shelby. He played baseball most of my childhood and young adulthood and is a huge Chicago Cubs fan. Sean traveled to Chicago for games 3, 4 & 5 of the 2016 World Series and thoroughly enjoyed watching them clinch their 1st World Series title in 108 years in extra innings of game 7 with his good friend and fellow Cubs fanatic, AJ. Go Cubs Go! Sean attended Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia for his last two years of high school and received an appointment to the US Air Force Academy before passing on it to stay close to his mom and sister after his parents went through a divorce. Sean attended UNC-Asheville and UNC-Charlotte where he secured BAs in Psychology and Criminal Justice and later, the University of Phoenix where he acquired an MBA. Sean has lived in the Charlotte metro area for 44+ years and loves calling Charlotte and the Carolinas, home. Sean wants to share his professional experience, knowledge of our real estate market and his love for the Carolinas with each and every client.
