Judy with her husband Louie and two daughters moved to Highlands in 1986. Licensed in real estate since 1973, Judy bought Meadows Mountain Realty in 2006 and the company joined the Berkshire Hathaway brand in 2015. Judy is a Florida State University alumni and was recently named for the third time to the Seminole 100 which awards alumni owned companies based on growth. Judy enjoys her home in Highlands Falls Country Club and is an avid golfer. Mitzi and her husband Hammond, who owns Franklin Ford and is an avid croquet player at Highlands Country Club, had been visiting Highlands for many years and made to leap to full time residency in 2008. Mitzi’s sales background in the healthcare industry sharpened her intuitive skills when problem solving and gave her a keen sensitivity to the needs of others.
In January of 2021, we added another full-time broker to our team, Tom Goldacker. Tom has a background in law enforcement and been licensed for over 16 years in the Highlands-Cashiers area. He and his wife Tricia, who is the Vice President of BHHS Meadows Mountain Realty, share their home between Highlands and Cashiers with two teenage sons.
The beginning of 2022 brought another fresh face to our team with the addition of John Muir. John and his wife Charlotte, with two young children live in Highlands year round. John comes from a family of real estate brokers and is an avid fly fisherman.
This year we added one more to our growing team, Brooks Kittrell. Brooks has a degree in Turf Management from NC State University and has spent 90% of his life living in various parts of Western North Carolina. Brooks love to play golf and with his wife, Natasha, has 3 wonderful boys keeping them active in almost every sport imaginable.
