New Mexico State Information
New Mexico is a state located in the southwestern United States. It is bordered by Colorado to the north, Oklahoma and Texas to the east, and Arizona to the west. The state has a population of around 2.1 million people and covers an area of 121,590 square miles, making it the fifth largest state in the country.
The landscape of New Mexico is varied and diverse, ranging from high desert plains in the east to rugged mountains in the west. The highest point in the state is Wheeler Peak at 13,161 feet above sea level. The Rio Grande River runs through the southern part of the state, providing water for agriculture and recreation.
