Sanger High School Description
Sanger High School is a public high school located in Sanger, California. Established in 1891, it is the oldest high school in Fresno County and one of the oldest schools in the state. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students.
The campus features modern facilities including a library, computer labs, science laboratories, art rooms and music classrooms. It also offers a variety of extracurricular activities such as sports teams (football, basketball, baseball), clubs (drama club, chess club) and student organizations (National Honor Society).
At Sanger High School we strive to provide our students with an excellent education that prepares them for college or career success. We offer rigorous academic programs that challenge our students to reach their highest potential while providing support services to ensure they are successful. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who work hard to create engaging learning experiences for all our students.
We believe that every student should have access to quality education regardless of background or financial status so we offer several scholarships and grants each year to help make higher education more accessible for all our graduates. We also partner with local businesses and community organizations to provide internships and job opportunities for our graduating seniors.
At Sanger High School we take pride in creating a safe environment where everyone can learn without fear of discrimination or bullying. We promote respect among staff members as well as between faculty members and students by encouraging open dialogue about issues facing today’s youth culture such as drug use prevention or cyberbullying awareness campaigns.
