W. E. Mitchell Middle School is a public school located in Rancho Cordova, California. It serves students in grades 6-8 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. The school was founded in 1997 and named after William Edward Mitchell, a former principal at the nearby Folsom High School who had a passion for education and served as an inspiration to many young people throughout his career.

The mission of W. E. Mitchell Middle School is to provide all students with the opportunity to reach their highest potential through rigorous academic instruction that emphasizes critical thinking skills, problem solving strategies, technology integration, and collaboration among peers and teachers alike.
