Monroe Elementary School is a public school located in the heart of Monrovia, California. Founded in 1887, Monroe has been providing quality education to students for over 130 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of educational programs designed to meet the needs of all learners.

At Monroe Elementary School, teachers strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Through engaging lessons that incorporate technology into the classroom experience, teachers help foster critical thinking skills while also encouraging creativity and collaboration among their students. In addition to core academic subjects such as math, science, language arts, social studies and physical education; Monroe also provides enrichment classes including art music & drama as well as foreign language instruction in Spanish or Mandarin Chinese.

The staff at Monroe are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by providing individualized support when needed. They offer after-school tutoring sessions for those who need extra assistance with coursework or homework assignments as well as special events throughout the year like field trips and family nights which promote community involvement within the school district.
