Corning High School Description
Corning High School is a public high school located in Corning, California. Established in 1891, it is the oldest and largest high school in Tehama County. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students.
The campus consists of two main buildings: the original building built in 1891 and a newer addition constructed in 2006. Both buildings are equipped with modern technology such as interactive whiteboards, computers, and projectors to enhance learning experiences for all students. In addition to classrooms, there are also several specialized areas including a library/media center, science labs, art studios, music rooms and athletic facilities.
At Corning High School we strive to provide our students with an excellent education that prepares them for college or career success after graduation. We offer a wide range of courses including Advanced Placement (AP) classes as well as vocational programs such as automotive repair and welding technology. Our teachers are highly qualified professionals who work hard to ensure each student receives individualized attention and support throughout their educational journey at Corning High School.
We believe that extracurricular activities play an important role in helping our students develop into well-rounded individuals so we offer numerous clubs ranging from robotics to drama club along with competitive sports teams like football, basketball and soccer which compete against other schools within the district on a regular basis.
