Caruthers High School is a public high school located in Caruthers, California. Established in 1965, the school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. The campus consists of two main buildings: the Main Building and the Science & Technology Center.
The Main Building houses classrooms for core subjects such as English, Math, Social Studies and Science. It also includes a library with over 20,000 volumes and access to online databases; a cafeteria; several computer labs; art rooms; music rooms; gymnasiums; locker rooms; administrative offices; and student services areas.
The Science & Technology Center provides specialized instruction in science courses such as biology, chemistry and physics. It also offers advanced placement classes in math and science as well as career technical education programs including automotive technology, construction trades, culinary arts and health sciences. Additionally there are numerous clubs available for students to join ranging from robotics to drama club to yearbook staff.
At Caruthers High School we strive to provide our students with an excellent educational experience that will prepare them for college or their chosen career path after graduation. We believe that every student should have access to quality learning opportunities regardless of their background or financial situation so we offer free breakfast/lunch programs along with other resources designed to help all our students succeed academically while developing important life skills they can use beyond high school graduation day!
