Frontier High School Description
Frontier High School is a public high school located in Bakersfield, California. Founded in 2002, Frontier High School has become one of the most successful schools in Kern County. With an enrollment of over 1,500 students, Frontier offers a wide variety of educational opportunities to its student body.
At Frontier High School, students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop their skills through rigorous academic courses and extracurricular activities. The school's curriculum includes core classes such as English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies as well as electives like art history and computer programming. Additionally, Frontier provides advanced placement (AP) courses for college-bound students who wish to challenge themselves academically.
Outside of the classroom, there are numerous clubs and organizations available for students to join including robotics teams, debate clubs and theater groups. In addition to these activities on campus, Frontier also offers competitive sports programs that include football, basketball and soccer teams which compete at both the varsity level as well as junior varsity levels throughout the year.
