Keyser High School is a public high school located in Keyser, West Virginia. Established in 1891, it is the oldest and largest high school in Mineral County. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students.
The mission of Keyser High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all students. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where each student can reach their full potential through rigorous coursework and extracurricular activities.
At Keyser High School, there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved outside of the classroom. There are over 30 clubs available including National Honor Society, Student Council, Drama Club, Robotics Team, Art Club and more! In addition to these clubs there are also many sports teams such as football, basketball, baseball/softball, soccer and track & field which compete at both the varsity and junior varsity levels.
Keyser High School offers a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as dual credit classes with Potomac State College allowing qualified seniors to earn college credits while still attending high school. Additionally they offer career technical education programs such as automotive technology or culinary arts so that students can gain real world experience before graduating from high school.
