Stevens Point Area Senior High School Description
Stevens Point Area Senior High School is a public high school located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Established in 1894, it is the oldest and largest high school in Portage County. With an enrollment of over 1,400 students from grades 9-12, SPASH offers a comprehensive educational experience for its diverse student body.
SPASH has been recognized as one of the top schools in Wisconsin by U.S News & World Report and Newsweek Magazine. It boasts a wide variety of academic programs including Advanced Placement courses, honors classes, career and technical education opportunities, and college credit options through local universities. The school also provides numerous extracurricular activities such as athletics (including football, basketball, baseball/softball), music ensembles (band/choir), theater productions, clubs (such as National Honor Society) and more to help foster well-rounded individuals who are prepared for success after graduation.
The faculty at SPASH strive to create an environment that encourages learning while promoting respect among all members of the community. Through their commitment to excellence they have helped make SPASH one of the premier high schools in Wisconsin with many graduates going on to pursue successful careers or higher education opportunities throughout the country.
