Memorial High School Description
Memorial High School is a public high school located in Madison, Wisconsin. It serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students. The school was founded in 1954 and is part of the Madison Metropolitan School District.
The mission of Memorial High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The faculty at Memorial High School are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by providing rigorous instruction and engaging activities both inside and outside the classroom.
At Memorial High School, there are numerous extracurricular activities for students to participate in such as sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society, Key Club), music programs (band & choir) and theater productions. There are also many opportunities for community service through various organizations like Habitat for Humanity or Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Memorial High School strives to create an atmosphere where all students can feel welcome regardless of race or background. They have implemented several initiatives over the years including anti-bullying campaigns and diversity awareness days which help foster respect among peers while promoting acceptance within the school community.
