Lapham Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 1876, Lapham has been providing quality education to students for over 140 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from Pre-K through 5th grade and offers an array of educational opportunities including music, art, physical education, technology integration and foreign language instruction.
At Lapham Elementary School we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where all children can learn and grow. Our dedicated staff works hard to ensure that each student receives individualized attention while developing their academic skills as well as social emotional competencies. We believe that every child should have access to high quality instruction regardless of background or ability level.
In addition to our rigorous curriculum, Lapham also provides numerous extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs and afterschool programs designed to engage students in meaningful ways outside of the classroom setting. We are proud members of the Madison Metropolitan School District which allows us access to additional resources such as field trips and special events throughout the year.
