Independence Middle School is a vibrant and welcoming learning environment located in the heart of Independence, Wisconsin. Established in 1887, this school has been providing quality education to students for over 130 years. With an enrollment of approximately 500 students from grades 6-8, Independence Middle School offers a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on developing critical thinking skills and preparing students for success in high school and beyond.
The faculty at Independence Middle School are dedicated to creating an atmosphere where all students can thrive academically and socially. The teachers strive to create engaging lessons that challenge their students while also fostering creativity and collaboration among them. In addition to core classes such as math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education, health/wellness, art/music/drama electives are offered which allow each student to explore their interests further.
At Independence Middle School there is something for everyone! Extracurricular activities include sports teams such as basketball and volleyball as well as clubs like robotics or chess club. There are also many opportunities for community service projects throughout the year so that our students can give back to the local area they call home.
