Orting High School Description

Orting High School is a public high school located in the small town of Orting, Washington. Established in 1891, it is one of the oldest schools in Pierce County and has been providing quality education to its students for over 125 years. The school serves grades 9-12 with an enrollment of approximately 600 students.

The mission at Orting High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth while preparing all students for college or career readiness. To achieve this goal, the school offers a wide range of courses including Advanced Placement classes as well as electives such as art, music, drama and physical education. In addition to academics, there are many extracurricular activities available such as sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society) and student organizations (Student Council).

At Orting High School we strive to create an atmosphere where every student feels welcome and respected regardless of their background or beliefs. We believe that by fostering positive relationships between staff members and students we can help our young people reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
