Lothrop School is a private, independent school located in Pittsford, Vermont. Founded in 1891 by the Reverend Charles Lothrop, it has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school offers an innovative and challenging curriculum that focuses on developing critical thinking skills and preparing students for college and beyond.
The campus of Lothrop School consists of two buildings: the main building which houses classrooms, offices, library, cafeteria and gymnasium; and the annex which contains additional classrooms as well as art studios. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with gardens and trees creating a peaceful atmosphere conducive to learning.
At Lothrop School we strive to create an environment where each student can reach their full potential academically while also growing socially and emotionally. We offer small class sizes so that our teachers can provide individualized attention to each student’s needs. Our faculty members are highly qualified professionals who have extensive experience teaching at both public schools and private institutions alike.
In addition to academics, we believe in fostering creativity through music, art, drama and other extracurricular activities such as sports teams or clubs like robotics or chess club. We also emphasize community service projects throughout the year so that our students learn how they can make a difference in their local communities.
At Lothrop School we understand that every child is unique with different strengths and weaknesses; therefore we strive to meet each student’s individual needs while helping them develop into responsible citizens who will be successful contributors to society when they graduate from our institution.
