Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School is a public school located in Richmond, Virginia at 1000 Mosby Street. The school was established in 1971 and serves students from grades 6-8. It has an enrollment of approximately 500 students and offers a variety of educational programs to meet the needs of its diverse student body.

The mission of Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and social responsibility through rigorous instruction and meaningful experiences for all students. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where each student can reach their full potential while developing respect for themselves, others, and the community around them.

At MLKMS there are many opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs, after-school programs, field trips, service projects, and more! There are also several support services available including counseling services; special education resources; health services; English language learner (ELL) classes; gifted/talented program; career exploration courses; college preparation workshops; parent involvement initiatives; mentoring programs; tutoring sessions with certified teachers or volunteers from the community; and much more!
