Provo High School Description

Provo High School is a public high school located in Provo, Utah. Founded in 1875, it is the oldest high school in the state of Utah and one of the oldest continuously operating schools west of the Mississippi River. The school has an enrollment of over 2,000 students from grades 9-12 and offers a wide variety of academic programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors classes, career and technical education (CTE), special education services, and extracurricular activities such as athletics and clubs.

The campus features modern facilities that include two gymnasiums, a library/media center with computer labs, science laboratories for biology and chemistry classes, art studios for drawing and painting classes, music rooms for band practice or choir rehearsals; outdoor sports fields; tennis courts; basketball courts; track & field areas; swimming pools; weight rooms; locker rooms; cafeterias; auditoriums for assemblies or performances by student groups like theater troupes or choirs.

At Provo High School there are many opportunities to get involved outside of academics. Students can join any number of clubs ranging from debate team to robotics club to drama club. There are also numerous athletic teams available including football, soccer, volleyball, baseball/softball teams as well as cheerleading squads. Additionally there are several service organizations such as Key Club which provides volunteer opportunities throughout the community.

Overall Provo High School strives to provide its students with an excellent educational experience while preparing them for college success through rigorous coursework combined with extracurricular activities that foster personal growth and development both inside and outside the classroom setting.
