Cherokee Elementary School Description

Cherokee Elementary School is a public school located in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 1891, Cherokee has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of educational opportunities including music, art, physical education and technology classes.

The faculty at Cherokee are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential by creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. They strive to provide individualized instruction tailored to meet the needs of every student while also fostering a sense of community among all members of the school family.

In addition to its academic offerings, Cherokee provides extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs and after-school programs designed to help children develop important life skills like teamwork and leadership. The school also hosts various events throughout the year including field trips, assemblies and special performances that allow students to explore different cultures or learn about local history.
