Pelion Middle School Description
Pelion Middle School is a public school located in the small town of Pelion, South Carolina. Founded in 1887, it has been providing quality education to students for over 130 years. The school serves grades 6-8 and offers a variety of educational opportunities including core classes such as math, science, social studies, language arts and physical education; electives like art, music and technology; and extracurricular activities like sports teams and clubs.
The faculty at Pelion Middle School are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential through individualized instruction that meets the needs of all learners. They strive to create an environment where students feel safe and supported while also challenging them academically. In addition to traditional classroom learning experiences, teachers use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning and problem-solving activities to engage students in meaningful ways.
At Pelion Middle School we believe that every child should have access to a quality education regardless of background or ability level. We work hard to ensure that our diverse student body feels included by offering programs designed specifically for English Language Learners (ELL) as well as special education services for those with disabilities or other unique needs.
