Buford High School Description

Buford High School is a public high school located in Lancaster, South Carolina. Established in 1892, Buford High School has been providing quality education to the students of Lancaster County for over 125 years. With an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students from grades 9-12, Buford High School offers a wide variety of courses and extracurricular activities that help prepare its students for college and beyond.

At Buford High School, teachers strive to create an environment where all students can reach their full potential. The faculty works hard to ensure that each student receives individualized attention and support throughout their educational journey. In addition to core classes such as English, math, science and social studies; Buford also offers advanced placement (AP) courses in various subjects including history, biology and calculus.

Outside of the classroom, there are numerous clubs and organizations available for students at Buford High School including National Honor Society (NHS), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Student Council Association (SCA) and many more! Additionally, athletics play an important role at BHS with teams competing in football, basketball, baseball/softball track & field among other sports.

Overall, Buford High School provides a safe learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to succeed academically while developing lifelong skills through extracurricular activities.
