Carvers Bay High School is a public high school located in Hemingway, South Carolina. It serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students. The school was founded in 1965 and is part of the Georgetown County School District.
The mission of Carvers Bay High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The faculty and staff strive to create an atmosphere where all students can reach their full potential through rigorous instruction, meaningful activities, and positive relationships with peers and adults.
At Carvers Bay High School there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities such as athletics (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America), performing arts (band & chorus) as well as many other organizations like student government or yearbook club.
Carvers Bay High School also offers a variety of Advanced Placement courses which allow students to earn college credit while still attending high school.
