The mission of John E. Ewing Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship for all its students. The faculty and staff strive to create an atmosphere where each student can reach their full potential through rigorous instruction, meaningful activities, and positive relationships with peers and adults alike.

John E. Ewing Middle School offers a variety of extracurricular activities including sports teams such as basketball, football, volleyball, track & field; clubs like drama club or chess club; after-school programs like art classes or robotics; as well as community service opportunities throughout the year.

At John E. Ewing Middle School we believe that every student should have access to quality education regardless of background or ability level so we offer special education services for those who need it most along with gifted/talented programming for our more advanced learners. We also have strong partnerships with local businesses which allow us to provide career exploration experiences for our 8th grade students each year so they can begin exploring possible future paths early on in life!
