Edisto High School Description
Edisto High School is a public school located in Cordova, South Carolina. Founded in 1891, Edisto High School has been providing quality education to the students of Colleton County for over 125 years. The school offers a wide range of courses and activities that are designed to meet the needs of all its students.
The student body at Edisto High School consists of approximately 500 students from grades 9-12. The faculty and staff strive to create an environment where each student can reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. In addition to traditional academic classes such as math, science, English, social studies and foreign language; Edisto also offers career technical programs such as automotive technology and culinary arts.
In addition to academics, Edisto High School provides many extracurricular activities including sports teams (football, basketball, baseball/softball), clubs (National Honor Society & Student Council) and performing arts groups (band & chorus). These organizations provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills while having fun with friends.
At Edisto High School we believe that every student should have access to a quality education regardless of background or financial status. We strive to ensure that our graduates are prepared for college or careers upon graduation by offering rigorous coursework combined with real world experiences through internships and job shadowing opportunities.
