Ridge View High School Description
Ridge View High School is a public high school located in Columbia, South Carolina. Established in 2002, Ridge View has become one of the most successful and highly regarded schools in the state. With an enrollment of over 2,000 students from grades 9-12, Ridge View offers a comprehensive education that emphasizes academic excellence as well as extracurricular activities such as athletics, clubs and organizations.
The faculty at Ridge View are dedicated to providing quality instruction and creating a safe learning environment for all students. The school also provides numerous resources to help students succeed including tutoring services, counseling programs and college preparation courses. In addition to its rigorous curriculum, Ridge View also offers Advanced Placement (AP) classes which allow students to earn college credit while still in high school.
Ridge View's athletic program is among the best in the region with teams competing at both varsity and junior varsity levels across multiple sports including football, basketball, baseball/softball and soccer. The school also boasts several award-winning performing arts groups such as choir, band and theater productions that have earned recognition throughout the state.
