Burke High School Description

Burke High School is a public high school located in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina. Established in 1891, Burke has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school offers an array of academic and extracurricular activities that help prepare students for college and beyond.

At Burke High School, students have access to a wide range of courses including English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language and Physical Education. In addition to these core classes, there are also many electives such as Art History & Appreciation, Music Theory & Performance and Computer Technology.

The faculty at Burke High School consists of highly qualified teachers who strive to create an environment where learning can take place effectively. They use innovative teaching methods that engage all types of learners while encouraging critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities.

Outside the classroom, Burke High School provides its students with numerous opportunities for growth through clubs and organizations like Student Council or National Honor Society as well as sports teams such as football or basketball. There are also plenty of after-school activities available ranging from theater productions to robotics competitions which allow students to explore their interests further outside the classroom setting.

Overall, Burke High School is committed to helping each student reach their full potential by offering them a comprehensive educational experience that will set them up for success both now and in the future!
