Smithfield High School Description
Smithfield High School is a public high school located at 90 Pleasant View Ave in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Founded in 1875, it is the oldest and largest secondary school in the town of Smithfield. The school serves over 1,000 students from grades 9-12 and offers a wide range of educational opportunities for its diverse student body.
The curriculum at Smithfield High School includes core classes such as English, math, science, social studies and foreign language as well as electives like art, music and physical education. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are also available to qualified students who wish to challenge themselves academically. In addition to academics, the school provides extracurricular activities including sports teams such as football, basketball and soccer; clubs like drama club or chess club; and community service projects that allow students to give back to their local community.
