Raices Dual Language Academy Description

Raices Dual Language Academy School is a public charter school located in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Founded in 2013, the school serves students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and offers an innovative dual language program that combines English and Spanish instruction. The mission of Raices Dual Language Academy School is to provide a high quality education for all students while promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, multicultural understanding, and social justice.

The curriculum at Raices Dual Language Academy School focuses on developing strong literacy skills in both languages as well as providing opportunities for students to explore their cultural heritage. Students are encouraged to become active participants in their learning process by engaging with peers and teachers in meaningful dialogue about topics related to language acquisition and cultural identity. In addition to core academic subjects such as math, science, history, art, music and physical education; the school also provides enrichment activities like robotics clubs and afterschool programs designed to foster creativity and collaboration among its diverse student body.
