Scranton High School is a public high school located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1891, it is the oldest and largest secondary school in Lackawanna County. With an enrollment of over 1,500 students from grades 9-12, Scranton High School offers a comprehensive educational experience for its diverse student body.
The school's curriculum includes core academic classes such as English, math, science and social studies as well as electives like art, music and physical education. Advanced Placement courses are also available to qualified students who wish to challenge themselves academically. In addition to academics, Scranton High School provides extracurricular activities including sports teams (football, basketball and baseball), clubs (drama club and chess club) and other organizations (National Honor Society).
