Mars Area Middle School is a public school located in Mars, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1965, the school serves students from grades 6-8 and has an enrollment of approximately 600 students. The school's mission is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all students.

The faculty at Mars Area Middle School are dedicated to providing quality education through innovative teaching methods and engaging activities. They strive to create an atmosphere where every student can reach their full potential while developing strong character traits such as respect, responsibility, integrity, and empathy.

The curriculum at Mars Area Middle School focuses on preparing students for high school by emphasizing core subjects such as math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education/health, art/music/drama/technology education (STEM), foreign language instruction (Spanish), and career exploration courses. In addition to these core classes there are also elective courses available including band & chorus programs; robotics; computer programming; drama club; chess club; yearbook staff; newspaper staff; debate team; Math Counts competition team; Science Olympiad teams; Destination Imagination teams and more!

At Mars Area Middle School we believe that each student should be given the opportunity to explore their interests outside of the classroom setting so they can develop into well rounded individuals who will become successful members of society. We offer extracurricular activities such as sports teams (football, basketball cheerleading); clubs like National Junior Honor Society or Student Council which promote leadership skills among our students.
