Springfield High School Description
Springfield High School is a public high school located in Springfield, Oregon. Established in 1887, it is the oldest and largest high school in Lane County. It serves students from grades 9-12 with an enrollment of over 1,500 students.
The school offers a wide range of academic programs including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors classes, career technical education (CTE), and college preparatory classes. The curriculum also includes electives such as art, music, drama and physical education. In addition to academics, Springfield High School provides extracurricular activities such as sports teams for football, basketball, baseball/softball and track & field; clubs like student government and National Honor Society; performing arts groups like band and choir; and other organizations like yearbook staffs or robotics teams.
At Springfield High School we strive to create an environment that encourages learning while providing our students with the tools they need to succeed both academically and socially. We are committed to helping each student reach their full potential by offering personalized support services such as tutoring centers or counseling sessions when needed. Our goal is to ensure that all our graduates have the skills necessary for success after graduation whether they choose college or enter into the workforce directly upon graduating from Springfield High School.
