Waldo Middle School Description

Waldo Middle School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in Salem, Oregon. Founded in 1965, Waldo has been providing quality education to students for over 50 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from grades 6-8 and offers an array of academic programs designed to meet the needs of all learners.

At Waldo, we strive to create a safe and supportive environment where every student can reach their full potential. Our dedicated faculty works hard to ensure that each student receives individualized instruction tailored to their unique strengths and weaknesses. We also offer a variety of extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs, after-school tutoring, and field trips that help foster creativity and collaboration among our students.

We believe that education should be engaging and meaningful for all students so they can become successful citizens who are prepared for college or career paths upon graduation. To this end, we have implemented innovative teaching strategies such as project-based learning which encourages critical thinking skills while developing problem solving abilities. Additionally, our teachers use technology in the classroom to enhance lessons with interactive tools like online simulations or virtual reality experiences.
