Woodlawn Elementary School Description

Woodlawn Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1954, Woodlawn has been providing quality education to students for over 65 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an array of programs designed to meet the needs of all learners.

At Woodlawn, teachers strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where each student can reach their full potential. Through engaging instruction that incorporates technology and hands-on activities, students are encouraged to explore their interests while developing critical thinking skills. In addition, Woodlawn provides numerous extracurricular opportunities such as art classes, sports teams, after-school clubs and more.

The staff at Woodlawn works hard to ensure that every child feels supported both academically and emotionally. They understand the importance of building strong relationships with families so they can better serve their students’ individual needs. As part of this commitment, parents are invited to participate in various events throughout the year including parent-teacher conferences, open houses and volunteer opportunities.

Woodlawn Elementary School is dedicated to helping its students become successful citizens who will make positive contributions within our society.
