Scott K-8 School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1965, Scott K-8 has been providing quality education to students from kindergarten through eighth grade for over 50 years. The school's mission is to provide an engaging and challenging educational experience that prepares each student for success in high school and beyond.

At Scott K-8, teachers strive to create a safe and supportive environment where all students can reach their full potential. Through rigorous academics, hands-on activities, and extracurricular opportunities such as sports teams and clubs, students are encouraged to explore their interests while developing essential skills like problem solving, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and leadership.

The faculty at Scott K-8 consists of highly qualified educators who are dedicated to helping every student succeed. In addition to regular classroom instruction they offer specialized programs such as English Language Learner (ELL) classes for nonnative speakers; special education services; afterschool tutoring; enrichment classes; field trips; music lessons; art projects; science experiments; technology integration into the curriculum; library resources with access to digital media collections; physical education courses including yoga and dance classes; outdoor play areas with playground equipment designed specifically for elementary age children.

Scott K-8 also offers a variety of family engagement events throughout the year which include parent workshops on topics such as college readiness or financial literacy as well as fun activities like movie nights or holiday celebrations open to all members of the community.
