Markham Elementary School Description
Markham Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1891, Markham has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
At Markham, we strive to create an environment where all children can reach their full potential. Our teachers are dedicated to helping each student develop academically, socially, emotionally and physically. We offer a variety of programs that focus on developing critical thinking skills as well as fostering creativity and collaboration among our students.
In addition to academics, Markham also offers extracurricular activities such as art classes, music lessons and sports teams. We believe that these activities help foster teamwork and leadership skills while allowing our students to explore their interests outside of the classroom setting.
We take pride in being part of the local community here at Markham Elementary School and strive to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all of our students.
