Hosford Middle School Description

Hosford Middle School is a public school located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1924, Hosford has been providing quality education to students for nearly 100 years. The school serves over 500 students from grades 6-8 and offers an array of academic programs including core classes such as math, science, language arts and social studies; electives like art, music and physical education; and special programs like AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and GATE (Gifted & Talented Education).

The staff at Hosford are dedicated to creating a safe learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. They strive to foster a sense of community among their diverse student body by offering extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs and after-school programs. In addition to academics, they also emphasize character development through service projects that help build leadership skills while giving back to the local community.
