Buckman Elementary School is a vibrant and diverse learning community located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1892, Buckman has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. With an enrollment of approximately 500 students from Pre-K through 5th grade, Buckman offers a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on developing critical thinking skills and fostering creativity.

At Buckman, we believe that every student should have access to a high-quality education regardless of their background or circumstances. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all children feel safe and respected while they learn. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who work hard to ensure each student reaches their full potential by providing individualized instruction tailored to meet their needs.

In addition to our rigorous academic program, Buckman also provides numerous extracurricular activities such as art classes, music lessons, sports teams and clubs like robotics and chess club. We also offer after school programs including tutoring services and enrichment opportunities like field trips and special events throughout the year.
