Sheldon High School Description
Sheldon High School is a public high school located in Eugene, Oregon. Founded in 1965, Sheldon High School has been providing quality education to its students for over 50 years. The school offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities that help prepare students for college and career success.
At Sheldon High School, the faculty and staff are dedicated to creating an environment where all students can reach their full potential. With small class sizes and individualized instruction, teachers are able to provide personalized attention to each student’s needs. In addition, the school provides numerous resources such as tutoring services, counseling programs, after-school clubs and activities, and more.
The curriculum at Sheldon High School focuses on preparing students for college by offering Advanced Placement (AP) courses as well as honors classes in various subjects including math, science, English language arts (ELA), social studies/history, foreign languages (Spanish & French), art & music appreciation/theory/performance classes. Additionally there are many electives available such as physical education/health sciences; computer technology; business management; family & consumer sciences; engineering design & development; culinary arts; theatre arts production & performance; journalism media communications; robotics programming & design; automotive technology maintenance repair service operations (ATMRSO); welding fabrication construction trades technologies (WFCTT).
In addition to academics excellence at Sheldon High School also values community involvement through volunteerism opportunities with local organizations like Habitat For Humanity or United Way of Lane County. Through these experiences our students gain valuable life skills while giving back to their community!
