Purcell High School Description

Purcell High School is a public high school located in Purcell, Oklahoma. Established in 1891, it is the oldest high school in McClain County and one of the oldest schools in the state. The school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students.

The mission of Purcell High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all students. The faculty strives to create an atmosphere where each student can reach their full potential while developing strong character traits such as respect, responsibility, integrity, and citizenship.

At Purcell High School, there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved with extracurricular activities including athletics (football, basketball, baseball/softball), band & choir programs, clubs & organizations (National Honor Society), drama productions and more! In addition to these activities, the school also offers Advanced Placement courses which allow students to earn college credit while still attending high school.

Overall, Purcell High School provides its students with a quality education that prepares them for success after graduation. With dedicated teachers who strive to help every student reach their goals and plenty of opportunities for involvement outside of academics – this is truly an excellent place for young minds to grow!
