Will Rogers Elementary School Description
Will Rogers Elementary School is a public school located in Edmond, Oklahoma. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was established in 1965 and named after the famous American humorist Will Rogers.
The mission of Will Rogers Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The school offers a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of all its students including special education services, gifted/talented classes, English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, and Title I reading assistance.
Will Rogers Elementary School also provides extracurricular activities such as student council, choir, art club, chess club and robotics team for its students to participate in outside of the classroom. In addition to these activities there are several community events held at the school throughout the year such as family nights with food trucks or movie nights on the playground.
At Will Rogers Elementary School teachers strive to create an atmosphere where every student feels valued and respected while developing their individual talents and abilities so they can reach their full potential academically and socially.
