Sequoyah Elementary School is a public school located in Claremore, Oklahoma. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was established in 1965 and is part of the Rogers County Public Schools district.
The mission of Sequoyah Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. At Sequoyah Elementary School, teachers use innovative teaching methods such as project-based learning, technology integration, differentiated instruction, and hands-on activities to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. In addition to core subjects like math, science, language arts, social studies, physical education/health/safety classes are also offered at the school.
In order to ensure student safety on campus there are several security measures in place including video surveillance cameras throughout the building as well as secure entry points with keypad access codes for visitors entering the building after hours or during weekends or holidays when no one else is present on campus.
