Springfield High School Description
Springfield High School is a public high school located at 1880 Canton Rd in Akron, Ohio. Established in 1892, Springfield High School has been providing quality education to the students of Akron for over 125 years. The school offers an array of academic programs and extracurricular activities that are designed to help students reach their full potential.
The student body consists of approximately 1,200 students from grades 9-12 who come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Springfield High School provides its students with a rigorous curriculum that includes core classes such as English, math, science, social studies and foreign language courses as well as electives like art, music and physical education. In addition to academics, the school also offers numerous clubs and organizations including National Honor Society (NHS), Student Council (SC) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
At Springfield High School we strive to create an environment where all students can learn and grow together while developing strong relationships with faculty members who care about their success both inside and outside the classroom. We believe that every student should have access to a quality education regardless of race or socio-economic status so we offer several scholarship opportunities for those who qualify. Our goal is to ensure our graduates are prepared for college or career paths after graduation by providing them with the necessary tools they need to succeed in life beyond high school.
