Elko High School is a public high school located in Elko, Nevada. It serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. The school was founded in 1891 and is part of the Elko County School District.
The mission of Elko High School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence, personal growth, and responsible citizenship. The school offers a wide variety of courses including Advanced Placement classes as well as career and technical education programs such as automotive technology, construction trades, culinary arts, health sciences, information technology/computer science, marketing/business management and welding.
In addition to academics, Elko High School also provides extracurricular activities for its students including athletics (football, basketball, volleyball), clubs (National Honor Society) and performing arts (band). There are also many opportunities for community service through organizations like Key Club or Student Council.
