Plainfield Academy For The Arts & Advanced Studies School is a public school located in Plainfield, New Jersey. Founded in 2008, the school serves students from grades 6-12 and offers an array of educational opportunities for its diverse student body.
The mission of Plainfield Academy is to provide a rigorous academic program that emphasizes creativity and critical thinking skills while also providing students with access to high quality arts education. Students are encouraged to explore their interests through courses such as music, theater, visual art, dance, creative writing and more. In addition to these classes, the school also provides advanced studies courses which allow students to pursue college level coursework while still in high school.
At Plainfield Academy there is a strong emphasis on community involvement and service learning projects. In addition to academics and extracurriculars, Plainfield Academy has an active athletics program which includes football, basketball, baseball/softball teams as well as cheerleading squads for both boys’ and girls’ teams.
