Edgar Elementary School Description

Edgar Elementary School is a public school located in Metuchen, New Jersey. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school was founded in 1887 and is named after the town's first mayor, Edgar F. Smith.

The mission of Edgar Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth for all its students. To achieve this goal, the school offers a variety of educational programs such as art, music, physical education, technology classes and foreign language instruction. In addition to these core subjects, the school also provides enrichment activities like chess club and robotics team for interested students.
