Murrah High School Description
Murrah High School is a public high school located in Jackson, Mississippi. Founded in 1954, Murrah has been providing quality education to the students of Jackson and its surrounding areas for over 65 years. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes core subjects such as English, math, science, social studies and foreign language. In addition to these courses, Murrah also provides electives like art, music and physical education.
The student body at Murrah consists of approximately 1,400 students from diverse backgrounds who come together to create an inclusive learning environment. The faculty at Murrah are highly qualified professionals with many years of experience teaching in the classroom setting. They strive to provide each student with individualized instruction tailored to their needs so they can reach their full potential academically and socially.
At Murrah High School we believe that every student should have access to a quality education regardless of race or economic background. We offer numerous extracurricular activities including sports teams such as football and basketball as well as clubs like debate team and robotics club which allow our students to explore their interests outside the classroom setting. Our goal is for all our students to graduate prepared for college or career success while developing into responsible citizens within our community.
