Hernando High School Description
Hernando High School is a public high school located in Hernando, Mississippi. Established in 1962, the school serves students from grades 9-12 and has an enrollment of approximately 1,400 students. The school offers a wide variety of academic programs including Advanced Placement courses as well as career and technical education classes.
The campus features modern facilities such as a library media center, computer labs, science laboratories, art studios and music rooms. In addition to academics, Hernando High School also provides extracurricular activities for its students including sports teams such as football, basketball and baseball; clubs like student council and National Honor Society; and performing arts groups like choir and band.
At Hernando High School we strive to create an environment where all students can reach their full potential academically while developing into responsible citizens who are prepared for college or careers after graduation. We believe that every student should have access to quality educational opportunities regardless of background or ability level so that they may become successful members of society.
