Oakview Elementary School Description

Oakview Elementary School is a public school located in Muskegon, Michigan. It serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The school offers a variety of educational programs to meet the needs of its diverse student population.

The curriculum at Oakview Elementary focuses on developing strong academic skills while also providing opportunities for creative expression and exploration. Students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop critical thinking skills through hands-on activities such as science experiments, art projects, field trips, and more. In addition to core subjects like math, reading, writing, social studies, and science, Oakview Elementary also provides enrichment classes in music, physical education/health education (PE/HE), technology integration (TI), library media center (LMC) instruction, foreign language instruction (FLI), guidance counseling services (GCS), special education services (SES), gifted programming (GP) ,and after-school clubs/activities.

Oakview Elementary is committed to creating a safe learning environment where all students can thrive academically and socially. The staff works hard to ensure that each child receives individualized attention so they can reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom setting. Through positive reinforcement techniques such as rewards systems and recognition for good behavior or achievement in academics or extracurricular activities, Oakview strives to create an atmosphere of respect among faculty members and students alike.

At Oakview Elementary School we believe that every student should have access to quality education regardless of background or ability level; therefore we strive to provide our students with the best possible resources available so they can succeed now and into the future!
