Comstock Elementary School Description

Comstock Elementary School is a vibrant and welcoming learning environment located in the heart of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Founded in 1891, Comstock has been providing quality education to students for over 125 years. The school serves approximately 500 students from Pre-K through 5th grade.

At Comstock, we strive to create an atmosphere that encourages academic excellence while fostering social and emotional growth. Our dedicated staff works hard to ensure each student receives individualized attention and support throughout their educational journey. We offer a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of all learners including special education services, English language learner instruction, gifted/talented programming, afterschool activities and more.

We are proud to be part of the Kalamazoo Public Schools district which provides our students with access to cutting edge technology such as iPads and Chromebooks as well as innovative curriculum resources like Khan Academy Math & Science and Reading A-Z. In addition, our teachers have received extensive training on best practices for teaching 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication and critical thinking.

At Comstock Elementary School we believe that every child deserves an excellent education regardless of background or ability level – it’s why we work so hard every day!
